ABOUT THE ISLAND

Escape to the Quiet Side of Koh Phangan

Most people know Koh Phangan for one thing. the Full Moon Party. But sail an hour east from Bangrak Beach and you'll find a different island entirely: limestone cliffs dropping into turquoise coves, reefs still thick with coral, and beaches you'll often have completely to yourselves. The Sangan's routes are built around local knowledge, not tourist maps so while day-trip boats crowd the same three spots, you're anchored somewhere quieter.
